  1. You used it the wrong way around on the first nut. The jaws wiggle for a reason, it’s so it clamps down on the pipe you’re loosening

  2. Pipe wrenches are best used only on Round Objects

    You Ought to get an aluminum Ridgid with a lifetime warranty if you are going to be around pipes more than 10 times in your life. You will be so much happier not wasting money on a steel pipe wrench that you drop and crack somebody’s living room tile with in front of their gas fireplace. The jaws are designed to Lock so you can use it backwards,

    But for Christ sakes guy you should not be holding that wrench without a backup wrench so that those pipes don’t flex like that
