  1. Brilliant, so good. Maybe the most efficient, systematic, accurate, no bs (trimmed all the fat) review I’ve ever seen. Wish all reviews were as good.

  2. I ended up with the flex, kit came with a 10ah stack battery, 280 charger and bag. Price is what got me, $229.00 Canadien, ($160.00 us) Great saw, battery to big and heavy, would prefer the 6ah stack battery. Thanks for the review.

  3. I’ve had every good brand of cordless tools but I’ve never been interested in Ridgid. I like they’re vacuum’s, though!

  4. I think that you should test more corded products. If I already have Dewalt batteries and charger, I am going to buy a Dewalt saw no matter what your video says. However, if you find a good corded saw at a reasonable price, there is a pretty good chance that I will buy it.

  5. Ryobi prices are getting outrageous! I used to buy Ryobi as a little better tool than Black and Decker and priced about the same but now B&D is half the price of Ryobi. Maybe they figured they flooded the market with their batteries and now they think consumers will pay outrageous prices for more tools that use them?

  6. Could you do a similar test but add in the hercules from harbor freight? would love to know where it fits into this equation

  7. I am needing to replace my corded Circular Saw and I see you did a review of the Cordless Circular Saw, are you planning on doing a review of the corded ones?

  8. One factor that is difficult to test in formats like this is durability and reliability over time. Anyone out there have an opinion of which of these brands is best in this regard?

  9. The best video as always of trade tools. Those tool trade video maker wannabes should learn from this video of how to get straight to the point without regurgitating crap first. Great video😃

  10. I would like to know which brand does best all-around in every tool category – batteries and charging units can be pricey, so buying them for multiple brands doesn’t make sense for my budget or space constraints. If you were planning on buying a circular saw, table saw, leaf blower, mower, drill, weed-wacker, etc. – which brand stands out as the best investment?

  11. My present battery platform has made my life miserable. When their battery fails under warranty you have to jump on one foot, while rubbing your tummy and patting yourself on the head and have the original receipt (which has faded due to the burn on the paper) I’m thinking of switching to Skil, will you add Skil to your comparison as I’m a DIYr and don’t need commercial grade equipment.

  12. Like other channels. You put each brands best saw up to test except dewalt. The 578 is a Flexvolt and that’s their best saw. The 20v is a diy junk saw. Nothing comes close to Flexvolt tools, that’s the whole point . And they are designed for heavy abuse for framing ( as I’m a builder ) and no other brand can match them. Makita makes great 40v tools closer but not a strong line of tools.

  13. Seems like it’s the Flex or the Milwaukee for a professional framer from this group. I don’t think the cost would be an issue for them.

For a non professional, the performance of the saws isn’t much of an issue. We probably won’t use the saw all that much and when we do we take a lot more time than a professional in the overall cutting process so the speed of the saw isn’t all that important.

Possibly the most important issue for most non professionals is to have a tool compatible with the battery type we own but if you happen to have Craftsman batteries you can do the happy dance. You get price, performance and a compatible battery. If you happen to own Ryobi or Ridgid batteries, then no happy dance but those saws still look to be adequate.

  14. I have the Milwaukee and I like it real well. I’d buy it again but the blade guard gets hung up any time it is pushed through sheet goods. When its up against a blunt surface like dimensional lumber, its fine. Yeah, its real annoying and dangerous. If you aren’t a Milwaukee guy, there is no need to covet this saw. Its just ok.

  15. Another awesome Project Farm comparison video. Just have to add: The DeWalt saw, when using the 60v battery, is like a completely different beast from when using it with the 20v battery. It’s more powerful and lasts so much longer. It feels as powerful as my corded saw.

  16. Does PF have a jigsaw comparison video. I’d like to buy a cordless one, but always like to watch his videos first!

  17. Would it be acceptable to ask if you could test them again for the 2025 line up. The batteries for my old equipment are too expensive. It’s time to move forward.
    Thank you very much Todd.
This is not a safe type of test for that dummy, cousin Eddie to participate in!!!
    Hahaha……….

  18. Funny the good brands, DeWalt, Bosch, Milwaukee, and Makita, could handle the ten pounds of force where the cheap brands couldn’t. That test was the test for quality.

  19. Harbor Freight brands snubbed again… c’mon man! Love the videos, but include the bargain brands. HF is putting alot into their cordless brands and should be included 🤷🏻‍♂️

  20. For a home occaisional DIY, Craftsman is the clear winner. It will probably last just fine since low usage yet you get better performance than many more exensive saws.
